A 180 degree on my design!

I've decided to change my design plans. Why? I was having a hard time matching the original design with the white/gray tile floor and the granite countertop that the builder installed. It just didn't seem cohesive to me. Below is the floor tile & granite that I have to work with.

You know when you walk into a model home, for example, and you sense how everything comes together starting with the color scheme, then furniture choices, and finally, the home decor. It just blends together and that is what I'm trying to achieve. A sense of flow!
